Massage Therapy

October- Following November    1000 Hours 

3 days/week     9am-3pm      Coal Grove Campus

Students will also participate in additional clinical time outside of class.

 

 

Massage Therapists work in doctor's offices, health spas, long-term care facilities, and in their own businesses where they offer the public the following benefits:

  • Increased immune system functions

  • Increased heart and lung functions

  • Decreased fluid retention

  • Better join and body movement

  • Relaxation

  • Improved posture

  • Increased circulation to skin and organs

 

Graduation from this program qualifies the student to sit for the State of Ohio Medical Board Limited Practitioner examination.  Courses offered in this program include, but may not be limited to:

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Massage Therapy

  • Cellular System

  • Bone Structure

  • Joints Muscular-Skeletal System

  • Nervous Systems

  • Circulatory System

  • Biochemistry

  • Professional Development

  • Ethics

  • CPR

  • First Aid
