Students will also
participate in additional clinical time outside class.
As the role of the pharmacist
changes to meet future needs, pharmacy technicians will be
called upon to perform more and more duties. This program
prepares graduates to assist pharmacists in IV admixture and
prescription preparation and procedures. Upon completion,
graduates will be eligible to take the National Certification
Examination. The Pharmacy Technician program is accredited by
the
American
Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
