Class "A" CDL Licensure Program

This program offers pre-hire opportunities with nationally known trucking companies.  CDL testing is completed at a state-of-the-art training facility.

EKG Technician

10 Weeks        60 Hours        Dates and Times TBA

Completers of the EKG Technician Course can learn to operate equipment used in hospitals, clinics, and doctor's offices.  Previous health field experience is recommended.  Students will sit for the National Certification Exam through ASPT. 

Emergency Medical Technician

First Responder

Floral Design

Students learn the basic principles of floral design as well as learn to identify floral material.  Basic floral arrangements are constructed.

Introduction to Grant Writing

High Pressure Boiler or Stationary Steam Engineers

15 Weeks        125 Hours        Dates and Times TBA

Training is provided to assist eligible participants to prepare for the Boiler Operator's High Pressure examination.  Students in this training course will sit for the certification exam. 

IV Therapy

40 Hours        5 Weeks        One day per week

Participants must be a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to registering for class.

Advanced Medical Coding and Billing

This course focuses on more advanced coding and billing techniques.  Includes medical manager software for billing.

Learn basic Medical Terminology

Out of Hock and Out of Debt

Learn real strategies for getting out of debt.

Polysomnography

Participants of this short-term course must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program or must have already completed a Respiratory Therapy program.  For more information, please contact Keith Terry, 740-867-6641 Ext. 411.

Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification for HVACR Technicians

EPA Approved        Dates and Times TBA

This program assumes that participants have prior refrigeration and air-conditioning system competency, which is necessary for effective recovery of refrigerant.  System competency is tested in four parts.  All test include 25 questions of a core section covering environmental impact of CFC's and HCFCS, laws and regulations, and changing industry outlook.  There are 25 questions each in the following certification areas:

  • Type I: Small Appliance

  • Type II: High Pressure Very High Pressure

  • Type III: Low Pressure

Universal certification is granted upon successful completion of the core, Type I, Type II, and Type III (100 total questions).  The core section is a prerequisite to any certification.

TUITION:

  • Option 1- $50.00, Test ONLY

  • Option 2- $75.00, Test and Core Section Manual

  • Option 3- $100.00, Test, Core Section Manual, and 5 hour training session prior to test

Nurse Assistants work in nursing homes, home health settings, hospitals, clinics, and doctors' offices.  Graduates are qualified to take the CPR Test and the State Nursing Assistant Test for certification.

Unit Clerk

Unit Clerks are trained to work as a supportive member of the health care team in the hospital setting and in physician's offices.  Part of their duties include answering phones, transposing physician's orders, and organizing charts and documentation.

 

Basic EMT class  130 hours:

             2 classes per year starting March and August

            Monday and Wednesday 6pm to 10pm

Cost:  $650.00 (plus books)

 

Paramedic Program  800 hours

Nail Technician Course

The Nail Technician Program is designed for the student who is preparing for a career in manicuring, pedicuring and nail application.  This program is 200 clock hours in length and covers the following areas of study:

  • Sanitation and Bacteriology
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Hand, Arm, and Leg Massage
  • Manicuring Procedures
  • Artificial Nails
  • Specialized Equipment
  • Salon Operations & Communications
  • Cosmetology Laws and Rules
