About our Academies

At CCTC, we believe that students achieve more when they can work on real-world hands-on projects that incorporate their core academic areas. When our teachers work and collaborate with each other they gain a deeper understanding of what the students are learning and can find more creative ways to incorporate their curriculum. Our students can and do learn math through Welding. Teachers can find authentic ways to teach English through Mass Media Engineering. Students spend more time using what they are learning and less time listening to lectures.

Our high school students work within one of four academies. Each academy includes similar programs that share a core group of academic teachers (English, math, science, social studies, and intervention specialist).
